Since 1952, the Northbrook Caucus has recommended qualified residents for local office. It was started by the League of Women Voters.
It is nonpartisan and run by volunteers. Any registered Northbrook voter can serve on it.
It vets candidates for Village President, Trustee, Clerk, Park Board, Library Board, and School Districts 27 and 28.
The Caucus credits its nonpartisan approach, in part, for Northbrook's strong finances and AAA bond rating.

Resume and proof of Northbrook residency and voter registration.
2 Interview
A resident subcommittee interviewed candidates on September 29.
3 Caucus of the Whole vote
Recommended 19 to 1 on October 4.
4 Town Hall
Residents voted to endorse the slate on October 18.

The Caucus doesn't pick winners. Voters do, on April 6, 2027. The Caucus process gives residents a screened, nonpartisan choice.

To get on the April 6, 2027 ballot, the slate has to file petitions signed by registered Northbrook voters. Filing opens Nov 16.
We are collecting well above the minimum so the petition holds up if anyone challenges it.
Signatures have to be in person, which is why I'm coming to you.
